Although Montacute School is a Special Academy, it is funded in exactly the same way as a Maintained Special School.
If parents wish to have a place at Montacute School, they need to go through the same process as for any other Special School; which is is to tell their Local Authority that they would like their child or young person placed here.
No child or young person can be given a place at Montacute School without an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Montacute School will then be asked by the Local Authority if they can provide a place. In making their decision, Montacute School will use their Admissions Policy.
Any appeals on decisions should be directed towards the Local Authority.
If you are a prospective parent/carer and would like to come and have a look at Montacute School for your child/young person, you are welcome to join a session on the following dates in 2017/2018:
Thursday 16th November 2017 @ 9:45am
