Our School Council meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
During our first meeting of the year which took place on Tuesday 4th October, fourteen new members representing all the classes, from our youngest pupils in Lower School through to our oldest pupils in Upper School, came together for the first time to make decisions on issues that affect them.
The School General Elections took place in September to choose our new School Council Leaders. Pupils and staff all had a chance to vote!
Sapphire who has been elected as our new School Council Chair Person
Lee who is our new Deputy
Ellie-May who is our new Secretary.
In the last three years, the School Council have made decisions on several important issues including:
- school uniform
- school motto- Learning, Fun and Friendship
- the school logo - which was designed by Ellie-May
- playground equipment
- Pupil Champions
and they also have decided on two key areas of development as part of our School Development Plan. They are focusing on:
- Improvements to our school dinners. The School Council have discussed the dinners and created a Dinner Time Charter to help everyone understand how to be a good citizen at lunchtime.
- Play times: access to bikes/ scooters, dens and better play equipment. The School Council have made decisions already about the new markings and equipment for the playground. We now are now busy fundraising for them!
